Young N3SS - To Whom It May Concern
If you're a Long Islander, chances are you're familiar with the name YOUNG N3SS by now. Alongside his crew, NYS Finest, they've been making waves in the Long Island music scene. YOUNG N3SS recently released his album "To Whom It May Concern" on Friday, March 22nd. Despite its length, featuring 15 songs and roughly an hour's worth of music, the album was executed exceptionally well. With numerous standout features, the overall presentation and message of the album were spot on.
Among my favorites from the project were tracks like "It Could Be Yours," featuring Elite Viewers Only, and "Down and Dirty," which boasted collaborations with Mack Hill, FS-1, and CNT Mo. The album showcased an abundance of talent, impressing me with its quality of production, engineering, and artistry. I had the privilege of getting to know the team at LBR Records before the album dropped, and I must say, they're one of the strongest labels and collectives on Long Island right now.
One track that particularly resonated with me was "Fro$Tbite." Its melodic composition and raw emotion sent chills down my spine. The song's beat immediately captured my attention, setting a tone of determination that I couldn't ignore. It's a track that embodies the journey towards achieving one's goals and living the life you've worked hard for. Listening to it, I couldn't help but visualize scenes of contentment and joy, like being surrounded by loved ones in a blissful setting.
Another standout from the album was the final track. It served as a fitting conclusion, with each featured artist delivering standout performances. It's rare to find multiple features where everyone shines equally, but this song achieved just that. It took me back to the golden days of hip-hop cyphers, where collectives would come together and deliver unforgettable performances. Witnessing the evolution of YOUNG N3SS and his crew throughout the album, culminating in such a powerful track, truly encapsulated the album's message of unapologetically chasing success.
In essence, "To Whom It May Concern" is a must-listen for anyone seeking fresh, quality music. I've included a link to the album below, so be sure to give it a listen and share your thoughts!
