Secko Finesse: Maybe I’m The Problem
Self-reflection is the key to progress. I find it challenging at times to sit down and examine my actions, reflecting on how they may have impacted others. As I've matured, I've come to realize that this introspection is vital for personal growth and moving forward. To become the best version of oneself, it's crucial to acknowledge that one may have been part of the problem.
For those unfamiliar, Secko and I have collaborated for quite some time, so I've been aware of this project for a while. I can confidently assert that this is his best project to date. The emotional depth I've experienced from listening to it is profound. I commend him for creating such a vulnerable piece of art. While listening, I often found myself reflecting on the past, contemplating my role in various situations. Am I wrong? Am I right? Does it even matter?
No
One of my favorites on the project has to be “Gradually”. This song induces deep reflection; it even brought tears to my eyes, a rare occurrence for me. The lyrics truly opened my mind and heart to life and love. Secko's wordplay throughout the song, particularly the line "Win or lose, we all know winners choose the view of history," resonated deeply with me. However, it also made me ponder who truly wins when a relationship ends – perhaps, we both lose.
I also appreciated the use of skits throughout the project to further the narrative. Starting with a skit intrigued me; while unusual, it served as an excellent preface for the project.
Another standout song for me was "Possibility". There was something captivating about the way Secko flowed over the beat, exuding confidence. As I listen to it on the train while writing this paragraph, it's evoking a myriad of emotions and sparking thoughts about my future. It's a feel-good song that prompts reflection on past events while inspiring optimism for the future.
Overall, "Maybe I’m The Problem" is a remarkable project. Other favorites of mine include "Finesser", "The Other Side Of The Game", and "Bachelor’s Battle Cry". If you're seeking self-reflective music that delves into personal conflicts, I highly recommend checking out "Maybe I’m The Problem". As always, I welcome your thoughts and feedback on the article.
