Dream In Color: Event Recap

WOW, WHAT A WAY TO START THE FALL! As the weather outside gets colder we're still partying like it's the summer over here at Kidz On Acid. Long Island's underground artists truly came out and gave a star studded performance. The show was started by K-Dawg and he came out barking – truly woke the crowd up. I felt as if I drank two Red Bulls back to back. The energy that he came out with was insane. The crowd favorite of his performance was definitely when he performed the acapella version “Broke With Ambition” and the crowd got into it stomping and clapping with him in order to maintain the beat of the song.

Then, Jojoisveryrare came to the stage and put on an amazing performance as well. He had all of us vibing and floating through the stars. The crowd was going along with his entire performance dancing and singing along with him. It was great to see the evolution of his artistry from the first time that he performed with us. Then, BryLone took the stage and he did amazing – it was his very first Kidz on Acid show! He opened up with his single TecK Nah and he got the crowd jumping. Everyone was moshing and screaming and jumping. It felt like I was at a rave. At one point I had to push myself out of the mosh pit because the crowd was just going crazy.

Next we brought up to the stage Diamond Age, this was his first Kidz On Acid performance as well, and he did an great job.  The coolest thing about his performance was that he was able to turn the crowd up after BryLone had exhausted them with the moshpit. Diamond Age came out of the gate performing songs such as “Valentine's Day” and “Lois”. Special shoutout as well to Zay Fuego for coming and performing. The crowd loved his set. They were especially in tune with his single “Know My Worth”. It was awesome to see a plethora of new artists performing at our show and the crowd engaging with them and showing much love to them.

“That boy got block work tell me who scaled that”

Now, KHI10K never disappoints and he kicked his set off with a banger. His new record “Scale Dat” (which he dropped the day before the show) was a fan favorite. When I tell you he got the crowd turned up, that is just an understatement. The engagement that he was able to get from the crowd was phenomenal, by his second chorus he had the entire audience singing along with him even though most haven’t heard the track before. It was a great performance, and an even better way for us to end the show.

A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who joined us, and for those who missed the show, stay tuned because our upcoming events in late 2023 and early 2024 promise to be even better. We appreciate all the artists who graced our stage and everyone who made it an unforgettable night. To catch a glimpse of the action, be sure to check out the videos below!
