Another banger from DIFF3RE3NT. He always knows how to get me into my feelings. This song was a great showcase of his lyrical and storytelling talents. I can understand the confusion of being in a relationship and not really understanding what your partner needs and wants and you just want to be that for them. This feeling is perfectly conveyed throughout the song.

What enhances this story is the emotion that you can hear in his voice. The vocal doubles that he does occasionally also enhances it. It creates the illusion that both of the parties are saying it to each other. What also works well throughout this song is how the sample in the beat and his vocals overlap each other. I think it adds an element of yearning to be on the same page with your partner that you just can't get on.

Another thing that I enjoyed while listening to this song is how it comes off in a self refectory nature rather than just blaming the partner. I appreciate melancholy songs in which the artist reflects on their role in the situation and the situation as a whole. It's truly beautiful and unique to see and hear.

DIFF3RE3NT has been dropping a lot in the past couple of months and it's nice to see how he has been switching up his delivery, improving as an artist and stepping out of his comfort zone. He has been taking us into his more vulnerable side which is one of the best places to perfect your craft.

I'm excited to see what DIFF3RE3NT has in store for us for the future. He already closed out 2023 with his fantastic album Holy Grail and started 2024 with a great single.
